What Posy’s Wardrobe keeps
Posy’s Wardrobe is a free game made by Boost Lab, Inc. for Elizabeth Rose Boutique. It is made for children and their families, so it is built to know nothing about who is playing.
In short: no accounts, no names, no emails, no photos of anyone, no location, no chat, no ads, no ad trackers, and nothing to buy. What a child does in the game stays on the device they play on.
Kept on your device
- What Posy owns and is wearing, which parcels have been opened, and which Posy codes have been used.
- How many times the game has been opened on this device, and the last day it was played.
- Posy’s photo book: for each photo, the list of clothes Posy had on and which pose she struck. The pictures are drawn again on the device whenever the book is opened, so no picture is stored.
- Settings: sound, seasons, and whether anonymous play counts are allowed.
This is kept in the browser’s own storage on the device. There is no player id, and nothing here is sent anywhere. Clearing this site’s data in your browser, or “Start over” on the grown-ups page, removes it.
Posy’s camera
The camera button in the game is pretend. It draws a picture of Posy, a cartoon bunny, inside the game. The game never uses your device’s camera or microphone, and never asks to.
Posy codes
A Posy code is six pictures from a packing slip, tag or card. It is checked on the device and never sent anywhere. Codes are the same for everyone who bought from a collection, so a code says nothing about who you are or what you ordered.
Anonymous play counts
This version of the game does not count anything. If a later version does, it will only ever send totals such as “the plaid dress was tried on 12 times today” or “the balloons were popped 30 times today”: no id, no name, no device details, and nothing that could tell one player from another. A grown-up will be able to switch it off, and it stays off in browsers that ask websites not to track.
Our web host
Like every website, the server that sends the game to your device sees the internet address of the connection that asks for it, and keeps it for a short time in its logs. Those logs are used only to deliver the game and keep the site working and secure. They are never used to recognize a player, build a profile or advertise, and are never combined with anything else.
Everything the game needs (its code, pictures, fonts and the 3D drawing library) comes from this site. The game loads nothing from anyone else.
Links to the boutique
Links to Elizabeth Rose Boutique’s shop are only on the page marked “For grown-ups”, behind a grown-up question. They open in your browser, where the shop’s own privacy policy applies. Shop links say they came from Posy’s Wardrobe and which item they were about, and nothing else.
